Mission Statement of the Peace and Justice Committee

The Peace and Justice Committee has as its primary mission to prayerfully study and disseminate to the parish the tenets of the Catholic social teachings.  Since these teachings are part of a constitutive body of Catholic theology and thought, they must be integrated into our worship and parish life in order for our practices to be genuinely Catholic.  We will also identify social needs in our parish community and surrounding area and propose responses which are commensurate with those needs and relative to our own numbers and resources.
